Google analytics

Hi All,

just starting to get to grips with SEO and google analytics.

I'm looking at setting up some goals but I would be interested to know how many hits I get on a specific page to include all the information that my landing page now shows on google analytics. Do I just add the same code snippit into the other page I want to track or do I need to setup a new tracking code?

Google Analytics code should site wide to get real value from it.

All you need to do is add the same code to all your pages.

This then will tell you what pages people are looking at etc.

You would only need goals if for example you where checking on what keywords are working for people to join / submit forms etc.

Hope this makes sense.

Hi Thanks guys,

I was hoping to setup a goal to see how many people DL our portfolio (its a pdf file, so I thought check how many hits on the page hosting the link and that would do) is that possible?
