When re-directing a domain name to your main site, is it best to go for an automatic redirection where the user's web browser is sent to the new URL that is specified, so the domain name being redirected will not be visible in the address bar of the users web browser?
or
a framed re-direct where the domain being re-directed is visible in the user's web browser address bar? You can apparently set the title that is shown in the web browser and the meta keywords and a description of the website that search engines use to index the site.
So is the framed re-direct better for SEO purposes?
I noticed another thread about domain names and people purchasing the domain names with the relevant keywords in to help SEO. Do people just tend to automatically re-direct these new domain names to their main site or do they set up single pages with links on to their main site...interested to know what other people do and what is best for SEO

We do the same with our site - the .co.uk redirects to the .com. Our host provides the two options I outlined in my first post and as we have a few new domains I am trying to ascertain the best option for re-directing them.
