My advice would be to mak a list of what needs doing on the new site and put deadlines against them. That way you can break the workload down into chunks and it would seem like such a daunting process.
I used to alwatys 'put off' things I thought were difficult or boring but actually once you get going, you'll see that it won't be as difficult as you thought it was. Get stuck in.
Regarding links on regional websites, do a search on google for the area and see what websites come up top - then see if these are directories or sites you can get listed on. Worth a try!
Thanks guys, I really do appreciate you help. I know that I MUST set time aside, but I do get so frustrated when I do not understand something. Wordpress is supposed to be so user friendly, and all I need to do is to add a picture of my sitters to each area page and a testimonial as per my current site, but I am beginning to realise how much easier dreamweaver is for this type of thing!
There has been some excellent posts on another thread regarding link building. I have had excellent help here from Scott of Eflaunt, who has been helping me, and of course Ray , whom I am truly indebted.
