Default How accurate is Alexa and where can you find traffic information for competitors?

As title, how accurate is Alexa traffic rankings?

I don't use the Alexa tool bar, so are my rankings true?

Where can you find traffic information for competitors?

Just want to know how many hits they get a day.

Take them with a huge pinch of salt

    To find out other's rank:

    http://alexa.com/
Enter their URL on the right --> Site Info

The rank appears. Yours is 1,075,538

Note that you can't copy and paste the rank - they use some clever CSS jiggery pokery to stop people lifting it from the site.

well alexa is a very very rough indication or traffic as it measure the traffic from people who have installed there toolbar.

This varies from industry to industry being mainly installed by persons further down the food chain, all the rest have the google toolbar.

If you want to know how much traffic a site gets just phone them up and ask them.

They will probably lie or tell you to get stuffed.

The easiest way is to hack into there site.

    Hope that helps.

Yeah mine just fluctuates around 1,100,000.

My top two competitors sit at 23,866 and 18,552 but they are big *******s!
