Sitelinks are also phrase related. Yuor site AFAIK has to constantly be at the top for the phrase being searched for.

PI Guy, understanding is everything in SEO, it is what makes it fun . How much research have you done on the sites above you for these phrases? Do you beat them in ANY phrases? if yes, then look at that for a start.

A *very quick* look suggests most of your links are blog comments (maybe most nofollow) and forum links - not good.

Compare yours and the #1 site:

Best way is to go through your competitor site and email the sites that have their link and ask nicely for yours to be added. Works well if you do it correctly

To elaborate, all links are not equal. QUALITY beats quantity any day of the week.

As discussed in another thread the number one site has some very iffy looking yet high pagerank links. Perhaps if these get devalued at some point you will notice an improvement in your own position.

As ever, with competitive phrases links will make the difference and getting links from authoritative sites ain't the easiest. As others have suggested, go for quality over quantity with links.

Out of curiosity, what's your average bounce rate like?
