Default A question for the Men!

What search terms would you use if you were looking for pampering body and bath products for a gift for a female in your life (eg wife, partner, sister, daughter, mother, friend etc).
Thank you
(edited to add, it is a question for the women as well )

personally if I wanted to pamper my wife, I would search for

'Buy scrubbing board' or 'ironing board covoers'

You are asking a man who bought his wife a mop and bucket for valentines day

Ok seriously.

I buy lots of nice stuff for my wife, and tend to search for specifics like ' hand made bath oils, or 'hand made bath bombs'

Thank you! It is interesting you would search for hand made items. I've been trying to tell my OH that hand made can have a very luxurious connotation but he thinks it seems cheap and unprofessional, even after I showed him the Dreyfuss and Co adverts (Their website is flash so I can't provide a direct link, but if you got to their website and click on Advertising you'll see what I mean!)
Oh and it is really lovely that you buy lots of nice stuff for your wife, she is very lucky

I tend to just go directly to Lush.com if I'm honest but pretty much the same as OWG.

"glitter bath bombs", "petal bath bombs" etc etc.

MSC, to be honest I think your asking the wrong people here because most, if not all of us know HOW to search for things we want online.

OWG and I recently been discussing something similar to this.

I have, which I'm sure everyone else has, a group of friends that are not all that savvy when it comes to the internet. I mean, I have friends that know only 3 things.

Google
FaceBook
MySpace

When I start to conduct some keyword research I usually over to them and ask them indirect question for keyword I want to rank for.

Not long ago I one of my friends was looking to buy a new handbag and she typed into Google something like "pink medium size handbag with diamond pattern on the hand" (without quotes).

And because she done this for other search terms too, I kind of use my friends search dumbness to use what they would search on and write it into the body copy.

you should set up one of redevos thingymajigies to capture the data - they are very useful.

You create a scenario and send people the linky http://www.seedkeywords.com/

"End of stock perfume", "out of date cosmetics", "Paid to take away discontinued beauty products"

Err, I will check with my PA, what we usually do!

Now if a Mod...could just prevent Cath reading this thread...I won't be searching for "Large Dog House"

*taps foot*....hmmmm!

I'll tell you a little story about this. For a whole variety of reasons it ended up happening that when IP and I finally met up in real life that it was my birthday weekend. I certainly didn't expect a present and was quite embarrassed that someone I then barely knew might feel that they had to.

Anyway, I ended up with a large bag of fantastic girly treats - Spa products, The Sanctuary etc etc.

So, needless to say, I thought 'wow, here's a man who knows what a woman wants!'.

It was only several months later that I twigged that this was in fact an instruction to his PA :P

Now....let me see...I wonder who has the number 1 spot on Google for 'large doghouse for partner' :P
