Producing Search Engine Friendly Topic Titles.

Not asking any of you to go overboard, but if you want to give a little back to this forum, think about your topic title and how you can make it search engine friendly.

For example...

"I am lost" - is totally wasted as a title.
"I am lost on how to complete my VAT Return" - may bring people in and help A1 and as a bonus get you better answers!

If you start a new topic, think about your wording...think about your title and let your thoughts help both A1 and yourself.

I tend to go in and edit the titles on my rugby forum. Makes life easier for all.

Well there's 3 types of title.

1 as you outline a full explaination.

2 and another designed to make people read the post.

3 claws out get me to the top of google no holds barred.

yes, we have asked this before, ideally make them SEO friendly for a win-win.

we have started removing URLs from titles though, so apart from that, and anything illegal, immoral and plain old dodgy, will be fine.

I think you may wish to rephrase that Iodine as to me it looks like an open invatation.

When I'm creating a new thread at different forums I always check if the
title is friendly and can attract visitor. I never think of putting a link on
the title.
