If you are link building for a web site, and you decide to use the likes of forums etc. Is there value in 100s of posts, or do the first few get the message across
i.e. On this forum I have approx 100 posts all with my sig having a link in, plus several posts that have relevant links to my main site. Is their extra benefit in to 100 extra links, or does the likes of google recognise that a1businessforums link to www.dragonfly-services.co.uk and not increase it's weighting after a few links??
Hope that makes sense and I haven't confused everybody there.
Well I accepted the first answer, that 1000 of links won't do any harm, however surely the must be a law of diminishing returns otherwise join one busy forum, answer\respond to every single post, and hey presto link city!!
Okay, so this may be a daft question but what if you changed your link to a different page of your website from time to time instead of just to your homepage?
Not sure of the answer to your question, but not sure it would work anyway - doesn't the forum automatically change the signature link on all posts if you change it in your profile? ie. 1000 links would all suddenly point to a different page rather than just the new ones?
