Increase Homepage or Add Page?

Hi Everyone

Im thinking off posting a monthly blog/update on my site, to give people a reason to keep checking back.

As far as SEO goes is it better to add another page, or add the blog to the homepage???

Also what information (apart from recent work) should be posted?

Simon at this stage you would be better off sorting your site out with Titles and meta tags.

Create a new page - you can always have a teaser on the main page but rather than have extension of pages just create new ones.

well i would agree with Alvin,
and also add an FAQ page, and client testimonials, before adding a blog get the look and feel of these pages and the tags adjusted too.

whilst you're doing that, why not start writing a blog on a different page, once that has been running for a few weeks, then link from your site to the blog, try and look for a blog site that is relevent for your industry and has a good page rank.
