Anybody got any good guides to keyword research, from the beginning?

Keyword research is one of those things that you develop with time. I have had tools written that help me evaluate keywords, I use wordtracker, a thesaurus, competitor comparison google adwords evaluator, then feed them all into my script that gets me my competition metrics from various other sources (I am not going to go into this in detail for obvious reasons).

Researching the keywords isn't too difficult, the real knack is in how you evaluate the competition of those keywords.

I have never read a 'how to do keyword research' page, but skimmed this and it seems ok, ish, http://www.improvetheweb.com/how-to-...more-efficient Do NOT reply on the automated KEI from services like wordtracker, they are crap.

To carry out straight research and evaluation is £100, but I have just taken delivery of a new evaluation script I had written, and it automates a lot of the tedious research work involved. So I am going to drop the price to £50 or £75 per site, I haven't finalised this amount. But to A1 users i will keep it at £50. I don't limit the volume of words either.
