Quick SEO Analysis

While I'm sure this is no replacement for professional SEO, or hours of web reading to learn what I'm doing, I found this little page, that gives a quick guide to main points on the page, thought it might help a few others.

Afraid this tool has some serious flaws.

I suspect it has been designed to encourage people to call on the sites services.

My advice is .do not use.

Alvin, are you able to elaborate on just a couple of the flaws?

From what I understood it was accurate for the searches I made on my site, validated against Seocentro etc as well.

well in terms of actual results it reports poor for many of our No 1 ranking sites.

Such as

http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en...G=Search&meta=

so either they are right or google is wrong.

Its based on there version of SEO not the correct version ,as displayed by Google.

There is also the limitations of dictating that only one phrase or keyword or should be ranked for on any given page.

A well written SEO page should be able to be highly ranked for many keywords or phrases related to your business.

Hence why we will rank for:

vw parts

volkswagen parts

vw spares

volkswagen spares

passat parts e.t.c

all off the same page.

I don't think so but would get more opinions of others.

Hard to answer that as I don't work to mainstream SEO.

yes I noticed it only rates you on your specific keyword. I cross tested various websites, including some prolific seo'ers (mentioning no names) and if the gong is wrong, then their websit seo is crap too! It's near enough, IMO, to give a rough guide as to what improvements you can make. SEO isnt an exact science so why should this measurement be any different?
