Yeah, that just changed the tone of the whole topic...
You know I was reading through the first post and was waiting for the punchline!
Seriously though, best of luck to you, I'm just surprised Sir Ralph Fiennes hasn't done it already!
Hey, sorry I haven't been on - trying to keep up with everything is a bloody (am I allowed to say that?) nightmare!
No, ran hasn't done it yet. He did do a fantastic one way trek a few years ago with Mike Stroud, but not quite the same as we're doing.
Just as a quick update, we've got loads going on. We're in the Marathon des Sables next March (great training to go from one of the hottest places on Earth to one of the coldest!), a few adventure races around the UK, the possiblity of another race in South America in February and we're already pulling the strings together for a trip to the North Pole (would that make me Bi-Polar?).
Later this year and in to next we'll be heading off for training weekends and days in various parts of the UK, so we're going to post on the website where we're going and if anyone wants to join us then feel free!
The media wagon is really starting to roll with interviews in national magazines, a TV interview booked, mentions on national radio and LOADS of other stuff! Oh yea... off the back of it I've been asked to write a monthly fitness column in a national mag aimed out adventure sports - what fun!
We're working hard to get the education aspect of the expedition up and running for October. In a nutshell, we'll be providing teachers with activity based lesson plans which will slot in with the GCSE syllabus. Good fun and interesting to do, but virtually no financial return and hard work.
We're also collaborating with the Living Coasts project in Torquay to help them raise funds for their environmental work and increase our media exposure.
News about which charity we'll be working with is still under wraps for now - damned (I must be allowed to use that one!) frustrating as it is.
Sponsors are now starting to come on board with promises of funds and equipment. One sponsor which came on board this week is Bloc Eyewear. We'll be wearing their shades and googles both in the Sahara in April and the Antarctic. We've had loads of companies offer us clothing and the like so I can envisage my bedroom turning into some sort of outdoor clothing emporium!
If anyone esle wants to get involved then please do feel free to drop me a line.... the more people that can have fun with us the better!
Have fun!

Sorry for another posting guys and girls, but I meant to ask a favour and forgot!
We're really busy trying to increase our exposure at the mo. Most expeditions like this nobody really knows about until it's all over, but for us to help our sponsors and chosen charity in the best possible way we need people talking about what we're doing.
I was hoping that you'd mention us from time to time in any other forums that you contribute to and maybe put a small link on your websites. Let me know if you do and I'll mention you somewhere or another.
Thanks for your help!
