Default Printer advice

I thought I'd come to the end of my bad luck period, but tonight our Epsom Sylus DX8400 ink jet printer has given up the ghost!

It has a scanner built in and we do quite a bit of printing, so I would appreciate your thoughts as to the best value for money Epsom printer I can buy. There are some great deals on line, but nothing beats recommendations and we are on a tight budget.

Role on next year!

I used to swear blind by my Epson RX600 until I got fed up with paying to refil it.

I switched from inkjet to laser and have NEVER looked back.

I bought a Samsung ML2240 and it prints much faster and it costs me just £40 per 2000 pages to replace the toner.

Ideal for me as all my printing is mono...if yours is then go for it. AND it only cost me £48!

HTH

ps..I got it from ebuyer => http://www.ebuyer.com/search?q=samsu...4200&x=26&y=11

I am not an affiliate btw :wink:

Regards
Daren

Thanks for info Daren.

We buy our ink cartridges cut price (not epsom) and there are very reasonably priced. Also our current printer also has a scanner and copier which is vital for our work, and looking at the Samsung I think its just a scanner!

I agree its extremely cheap, but I really do need the above facilities also. Do you know (excuse my ignorance), if you can purchase a laser printer that has a copying and scanner inbuilt?

That really is above our budget, so it looks like I may be forced to go with another ink jet printer. However, that looks like a good link so will take a good look through. Thank you :001_smile:

I bought a samsung color laser 310 for about £100 from PC world, in the sale, so much cheaper than inkjet and better quality

there are a few decent color lasers around the £100 mark, check them out :thumbup1:

Gonna check that out now. Don't want to spend over £100.00. Yes, our budget is small :blushing:
