BT and LARGE phone bills

Hi Nina;

I might be worthwhile to give BT a call, when I was ringing round doing my cost-cutting exercises they told me that for a monthly fee(£12/£20 - can't remember) you get virtually no phone chares. Includes 01, 02, 03, 07 and 08 numbers

I think we may have that deal, but don't think it includes mobiles. I also have skype and use this to call my niece in the States, but my sister does not have it.

Get a VoIP line or mobile with loads of minutes. You can use those cheap calling cards to call abroad.

Fuzzy and BT divorced a few years ago ....we are with Virgin and have had no probs (so far!)

Another HIGHLY satisfied VM customer.

Left BT many moons ago and Mrs LOS now has more shoes...due to the savings.

Skype is not cheap to call abroad so I am told, not sure how correct that info is though.

To call a landline in Sydney its 0.02 euro a minute or something...prices for all countries are here http://www.skype.com/intl/en-gb/pric...s/#allRatesTab

yeah had the same problem , and change provider to tiscali, now my bills change 50%

I have no experience of tiscali's phone package, although my Dad did have an absolute nightmare with them before when he tried to cancel his internet package.

As for Sky, i don't believe you need cable, I think it runs off of your normal phone line.

Sky is via a normal ADSL line (BT and such like)

Virgin is via cable.
