There are no problems, only solutions.

If you say something negative, say 2 positives.

If you think a negative thought, bat it away with 2 positives.

Be strong. Chin up. Soldier on.

    Get things into perspective.

Spend as much time as you can with the people that you do like and the least amount of time with the people that you don't like.

Lighten up. Don't be so serious.

If you get angry, take a deep breath and count to 10.

Change of scenery. A change is as good as a rest. Get out more.

Read a book / listen to a CD on positive thinking.

Regard any error of judgement as useful feedback.

Think of a positive affirmation that's good for you and keep repeating it to yourself when you feel the need to.

Keep reflecting on the good things and successes in your life.

Treat yourself. Rest. Discover new relaxation techniques. Massage. Take up a new sport like Yoga. Excercise. Start up a new hobby to take your mind of things. Re-focus.

Improve your diet. Healthy body, healthy mind.

Identfy someone that you can trust in, maybe a person who has experienced what you have been through and share / get to the route of your problems. Open up.

Never feel guillty. Life is a precious gift, make the most of it!

    Hypnosis. NLP.

Take the attitude that things can only get better. There's always someone a lot worse off than yourself. On second thoughts, I wouldn't wish my Italian mother-in-law on anyone!

Problems normally come along in threes for some reason. After the 3rd problem move on.

    Stop. Just stop.

Eat, drink, sleep, walk in fresh air. Do it everyday for a week. Turn off everything electric. Turn to the little things you do for yourself that make you happy.

    Do it all again.

Both, but then I am over sensitive and let small things get to me.

Don't really want to put problems on open forum as they are both personal and business. Now where is that darn Santa

Normally a large quantity of alcohol...with the caveat that nothing will be different in the morning about from a cloudy head!!

Seriously though, write down what the issues are, then one by one knock them off as really irrelevant, then with the most relevant or annoying or pressing....deal with them one by one.

Once that process has started half the issues will actaully be slighty more irrelevant that there appeares initially.

    Good luck and keep smiling.

I think sensitivity is a good thing in your line of work Nina and it's a shame there aren't more like you! I know when I go through a down stage I always tell myself that it isn't going to last forever and before I know it, it'll all be just a memory. We all have bad times when nothing seems to be going right for us but it's how we react to it that's the deal breaker. I'm a pretty postive person on the whole but things do occassionally get me down and when it happens I tend to tell myself that tomorrow's a new day and IT WILL get better as opposed to asking myself WHEN it might get better. Another of my favourite quotes for times like this is:

Life isn't about weathering storms, it's about learning to dance in rain!

That is such a lovely saying and one I will remember

I know that there is always someone worse off than you, but sometimes its difficult when things happen that are totally out of your control.

I guess all we can do is our best and be glad that tomorrow is another day.
