Default Would you stop if you saw a car crash?

    Would you?

Reason I ask is that this morning I crashed my car - spun out of control and into some road works and a grass verge.

Obviously I'm fine (can't say that about the car though)

6 cars drove past me before 2 cars stopped to see if I way ok. Both the cars that stopped went out of their way to do so and both were female drivers.

So - would you drive on past after you'd seen a car spin off the road or stop to check the driver is ok?

    I would.

Did you see on the news about the cyclist who died by the roadside after being knocked off? I think it was in Manchester.

Apparently cars just continued to drive past whilst he lay they. There were even reports that someone ran over his legs?!

    Unbelievable.

I was always under the impression that everyone would stop - how very wrong I was.

As I'm always the first to complain about poor service, I would like to commend the AA for their speedy service on this occasion - operator said someone would be with me within 50 mins - 5 mins later an AA man appeared to recover the car - don't get much better service than that!

That was the first thing my boyf assumed too - I actually wasn't though - I'd just set off from roadabout and hit some oil/fuel on the road. Stunt-style spinning followed by crashing into a load of roadworks....I've already complained to the council about the surface of the road.

Buckled wheel and damaged my beautiful orange paintwork

Thats all 4 cars off the road - better get the push-bike out!

Yes, I'd stop and I have done in the past - the car infront of me hit the bike infront of them and they came flying off. Not a pleasant thing to see.

Glad to hear you're ok. Sorry about the car!
