Choosing a sun tan lotion

As you may know, I'm off to the Maldives in 3 weeks

I'm after a waterproof suntan lotion - ideally SPF30 to stop me from burning while I'm snorkelling, surfing and swimming.

Anyone got any recommendations for which products really are waterproof or any good?

So many on the market and no idea which ones are any good

Australian Gold is great.......SPF 30 is a very wise choice also as a minimum
Will have a look in the big book and see what wee can supply you if you wish?

Should have known you'd know about all this stuff too

Still haven't been on the sunbed since I got my cream but today I'm armed with a car so will be going at lunchtime...managed to get a bit burnt at the weekend - should have put lotion on but I didn't think because I didn't feel very warm on the beach - doh!

Please have a look in the BIG BOOK and let me know what the verdict is. Requirements are:
1) I don't want any fake tan in it
2) ideally it has to be waterproof (not just resistant)
3) I don't really want to have to put it on ages before going in the water - 20/30mins max

Wifey always buy PIZ BUIN. Its the best she tells me.

Which island will you be going to? The Maldives is our favourite holiday destination - been there twice

Going on a private cruise boat - 12 of us going in total.
Not entirely sure where we're going to be honest because I've not organised it. Generally going to places with good surf etc. Pretty vague plan really.

I know that due to some problem with the flights, we're staying in a hotel on the last night - it's on a private island. Nothing but the hotel on it - whcih sounds cool.

Really I guess I should find out a bit more about where we're going

Another vote for PIZ BUIN. I use factor 30 and am very fair skinned. I do not burn at all using this!

Yes they are waterproof, don't need to reapply that often! (although obviously you should follow the instructions)
