My Gawd that is nearly a third of the worlds population.

I would love to have a programme where all the bankers and fat cats had to come and spend a month in Esba with families I know there. They would all turn with their "you just need to work harder" attitude but by the end of the month they would be singing a different tune.

I am afraid they are much worse than that, they are killing for profit.

I was reading today about the bloggers unite thing for human rights and while I agree with basic human rights this issue is way more important as it affects so many more people. Strange that people will unite to save one person and shrug when it comes to 2 billion.

Listening to the radio and a guy was saying 6,000 people control the world.

and that 2% of the worlds population own 60% of the wealth.

Good to know capitalism and the free market work so well and promote democracy in such a fair and even handed way.

We should all be ashamed of ourselves for allowing this situation to develope,but probably to busy or we might miss East Enders if we did something.

Its no good saying its not me cause it sure as hell is.

AS they say for evil to flourish requires good men to do nothing.

I always feel people do care about such issues when they are pointed out to them but it is rare that people are prepared to literally put their money where their mouth is.

There must surely be somewhere in the middle where we can have a comfortable life without having such a drastic effect on the global population?

Why can't every family in the rich western countries have a partnership with a family from the third world? For £60 a month you can house, feed, educate and clothe a family in the third world.

great idea Sally but if you give it to oxfam it will have to be £240 a month as since they have been employing marketing experts there payout in aid has dropped to 25 pence in the pound.
