    Default How is this legal?

For those people who have not heard of Flexpetz, it is a company that provides a variety of dogs to their customers. Dogs can spend either a few hours to a number of days with each person and their dogs are available in varied breed sizes to ensure compatibility!

I cannot believe that this company will be permitted to trade in this way, making money from handing dogs over to all and sundry, vetted or not.

The following is taken from the Blue Cross website.

Dogs are dependent on meaningful lifelong relationships with their human owners. Both parties of the human dog partnership develop a strong bond which is underpinned by both trust and understanding. The more deep-rooted a relationship becomes, the more stable and secure the dog will be."

"The opposite effect occurs when a dog is passed around from one person or home to another. They may become confused, distressed and unpredictable - something we sadly see all too often in dogs that come to The Blue Cross. We will often spend months working with such dogs to repair the damage of the past. It is only through the consistency and predictability of routine and the awareness of social boundaries that a dog can truly thrive."

    Sounds like projection to me.

Dogs are pretty tough cookies and have no need of human beings.

Just that it is convienent for them to have a human to feed and shelter them.

There probably much happier playing with other dogs.

After all dogs are wolves in sheeps clothing.

The intervention of humans in the breeding process of dogs has had horrendous effects on the species, with many breeds being born cripples doomed to a life of suffering,e.t.c.

I have a Labrador who sits on the front garden and waits for my girls to come home from school. Also, when they go out to play, he sits and watches them. It's a bit of a joke that we always know what house the kids are in, becuase the dog will be lying patiently on the front garden.

we've never encouraged it, and the best that the girls give him is the odd wee pat in passing.

couldn't agree more. One day it will dawn on people that keeping pets like is completely immoral.

Jorge although I believe my comments were probably factually true.

It was meant to be slightly tongue in cheek.

As I am fully aware of how much affection people have for there dumb mutts.

They along with there much more intelligent cousins old pussey play a major part in human life.

It has also been proved that pet lovers live longer than old grumps.

Maybe you have been chased up the proverbial garden path to many times in the pursuit of your ocuppation,to fully appreciate the beauty of a jack russel tearing at your trousser leg.

Tut, its that Bunny boiler Alvin again

Although dogs originate from wolves, they would not be here without us! They thrive on routine and familiarity, and form close bonds with their owners. If a dog could talk Alvin, I rather think he would prefer a nice cosy fire to curl up in front, food in his plate and walks through the countryside with his owners, than scavenging for food on his own.

Joprge, I know your feelings on this subject, so really what you are saying is that you would prefer dogs not to exist, rather than keep them as pets. Personally, I would say that dogs are one of mankinds better legacies.

That's an interesting point and I think true to an extent (with animals who are born natural to the wild), but what about domesticated dogs and cats?

    Wouldn't we all dear.?

Pretty sure dogs would exist without the intervention of mankind as is proved by the many species of wild dog through out the world.

not so sure about some of the man made monsters created by us though,?
