There is both a good and bad thing on google's plan.
The bad thing is they are invading our privacy and it was as
if someone is stalking you.. and that is not so good
but the good thing is they can lessen the crime in the
city, it was as if there is a surveillance camera everywhere.

Personally I am not happy about it. I have contacted my Local Mp and registered my anger.

In the Uk we have a right to privacy in our personal and home life. It is ABSOLUTELY illegal to use an image of someone commericially without their permission (other than for news related items). Google is invading our privacy, and it looks like the EU courts will stop them doing what they want to do.

They are driving around swansea as we speak.

Boxby, the point is we have a democratic process. And YES. local MP v Microsoft. local Mp won, Microsoft end up making changes.

This is the EU LAW we are talking about, and what Google are proposing is illegal. No if's no but's, ILLEGAL.

Keep in mind people that this is the EXACT SAME LAW that forces us to keep known terrorists in our country because it is not safe for them to go home. this is the human rights act I am talking about. One of the most powerful acts on our statute book!

This is ALSo at a time when the law is being tested, and people are and local governments are being told to REDUCE the amount of CCTV use because of this law.

Bloody Google, it is making a shopping list for lazy burglars. They will be able to source and case their next target online.

I think the recent changes re Trademarks & Keywords show that googles does not appear to have a great deal of consideration for UK or EU law.
