Oh. My. God. Just got back from the cinema with three of my bestest girlfriends, and have literally never laughed as much or sung as loud in my life. It's the cheesiest, most fabulous feel-good film I've seen in years and Julia Walters is utterly, utterly BRILLIANT!
The ratio of guys to girls in the audience was probably 100:1 so I'm afraid this is probably just one for the girls (or a way to earn brownie points if you guys want to treat the significant other in your life), but if you love Abba, or even if you've just had a bad day/week/month or year and need something to perk you up and make you smile, get on the blower to your mum/daughter/best mates and go see it!
Take a chance, take a chance, take a ch-ch-ch-chance
I have to agree about your review of mamma mia! I went along on the opening day (can't remember the last time I did that) with hubby and sister. It was great, a real 'pick me up'. At my cinema the audience had a real family feel - with people from 10 - 70ish. Our review was that it was really fun. Wish there were more movies like that.
Will definitely see it again on DVD. "You can dance...you can dance...having the time of your life...."
I totally agree. Saw it saturday. Julie Walters - best supporting Actress.
Where can i get a screen saver of Piers Brosnan & Colin Firth in Spandex????
I just saw the trailer of this movie and it looks good and funny I will watch this one
I was just thinking what came first Mama Mia or Dark Knight. I like both of them
