I am always getting my words muddled, and it can be extremely embarrising, especially when it happends on the radio, since that is live.
The last time I got into trouble was on the Ernie Almond show on BBC radio which was live.
I was warning people about the dangers of giving their dogs our chocolate, and said how the vets would normally give them an anti Semitic to stop the vomiting!!!!! He roared and went straight to a break. I however, had absolutely no idea of what I had said wrong. I was mortified when he explained. Thankfully, people saw the funny side However, I am never quite sure which word was correct
i sponsored a charity event, but could not get there for the start of the evening. I was told not to worry as a seat would be empty for me on the top table. I enetered the hall some woman was up on the stage going on. I saw my seat, went forward and sat in it and promptly started whispering to the guy next to me asking if I had missed much.
he said no that this was the opening address. Anyhow, she was the chairwoman and boy could she talk. I indicated this a few times to the guy next to me. Just as I thought she was about to finish, she got a second wind and started again. I said to the bloke 'bloody hell she could talk the arse off a donkey, i pity the poor bugger who has to put up with that all day' (you guessed it). He replied 'that would be me, it is my mother and you are sat in her seat
I ordered something the other day as a gift but since it was before the weekend it did not hit my charge card until today and I never got an email conf for it. Most times if I dont get an online email conf within the hour I am on the phone with the store. Well today I was on the phone already but calling to tell them its going to an old address of mine that is on the west coast, the place I have not lived in almost five years now.
