I was really upset to hear that Paul Newman had died.

I was very young when I saw Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid, but I will always remember those piercing blue eyes.

It seems to me that all the good people seem to be leaving us

So very sad.

Hi,

I was also quite young when I saw Butch Cassidy. Sad that he has left us but boy did he have a good innings and did lots with his life.

A bit of trivia - anyone know who the three actors were who were lined up to play Butch Cassidy before Paul Newman?

Actually the last name is a slight trick because the third actor lined up to play Butch Cassidy was Robert Redford.

He persuaded Paul Newman to swap roles and the rest as they say is history.
