The good news is that one of my builder's clients has posponed the job he was going to start this week so he's working on splitting our garage in half and adding a door from our hall way in to the garage weeks earlier than expected.
This is fab as it means I will have a proper stock room and will be able to get in to the garage with out anyone passing by watching me carrying stock in and out.
It also means that I can access the tumble drier in the other half of the garage with out the dry washing getting soaked in the rain when I bring it back in to the house.
Plus (yes there's more) there's less chance of me killing myself trying to negotiate the bedroom which is currently stuffed to overflowing with boxes of stock.
The bad news is that he's been drilling through the hall wall for half an hour and my head just might explode
good news about your stock room! I know what you mean about the noise, it's the same here as we're having work done! perhaps an excuse to take doggy for a walkies?! That's what I'm going to do!
That said I did take my life in my hands when I went out on to the field with her mid morning.
Between the wheelie bins flying across the road at me and trying to stay on my feet while throwing the ball far enough for the dog not to scoff at my pathetic attempt against the hurricane on the field it was a very interesting experience.
Just popped to take a sneaky peep while he nipped off for lunch ... expected to see a door sized gap in the wall after all the drilling and banging but there are just seven drill holes ... bizarre.
Presume all the noise is from breaking through the breeze blocks on the garage side of the wall ... didn't brave the hurricane to go find out
I'm really very excited which is sad I know but there you are
