Intrastat Forms Guru out there?

One of our customers, in Ireland, has said we have to change our invoices to comply with Instrastat, some EU regulation.

One new item is having to include the weight of all orders on our invoices.

Is anyone clued up about this? I've tried on the relevant websites, but got swamped in jargon.
