Where's the best place to research employees rights?
(Sorry if I've chosen the wrong section for this Ray )
I've got some valuable info from visiting the sites recommended in the distance selling thread so I wondered if someone could point me in the right direction for the best website to visit to research employees rights please.
Whilst there are other sites with lots of info, you have to be sure they are 100% accurate and uptodate with legislation changes for anything specific, so I always point to ACAS for reference.
Remember though that some things change on the 1st April each year (eg Maternity pay rates) so do make sure these websites have been updated before you rely in them.

Whilst I agree with all the above comments, I would also promote Business Link's website: www.businesslink.gov.uk .
Please feel free to have a look at my website as well - whilst you can find out a lot of information on line it is sometimes more cost effective (in terms of your time and the risk of making a mistake) to get professional input.
I strongly agree with Pete on this thread: while there is a lot of guidance online, and ACAS & other sites offer useful information, the devil is in the detail - most of these sites give carefully written commentary on the requirements, but these will often have the details behind them absent. After all, while the various organisations & departments (berr – a govdotuk address - is another useful site) may have an opinion, only the tribunals, and more particularly the Employment Appeals Tribunals & other higher courts, can determine the law.
If an employer can find from ACAS, etc, that they may need to take an action to address their legal responsibilities, it is normally better to then take professional assistance in dealing with that. An alternative site for small employers (particularly in London) is available at employmentlawclinic - a dotcom site.
