I try to work between 1 and 2.45pm while both of mine are at school after that it is 8pm while they are in bed but obviously I take calls during the day and bookings for my husband.

well my routine is very boring...get up at 6 and go to yoga then com back and have my breakfast the i whole day watch tv and go to sleep at night...dats it...so boring na...i knw..
I am going to sound like the class swot but I put aside work time and baby time as well as ensure that I sit with the family for dinner at the table and also up to the table for lunch with my 17 month old.
I guarantee replies to e-mails sameday and always achieve this as having set computer time limited it means I am actually more productive, focused and organised.
Sure there is the odd glitch but on the whole it works well!

Absolutely! Last week I had to change my ISP as Virgin just didn't cut it, I had nearly 2 weeks without the net and although I obviously need it I popped to the library to check on my orders or had my husband check them in work and kept on top of them but I got so much work done without it being there I have about 4 rails of clothing which I've made and now I can take a break and not have to make until my next custom order (no doubt tomorrow lol). Its been great.
I find it changes as the children grow up. I started working nap times and evenings, and heaved a sigh of relief as dd got old enough to go to playgroup and then school. Everything took a step back when ds was born: he is now old enough for nursery so I've been used to having blocks of several hours during the day, being free to be with the kids between 3.30 and 8, and only working the odd evening. With number 3 on the way it is going to be back to stage one again!

Well my only recommendation is to become a grandparent. It's brilliant! No responsibilities but all the fun and you can be really smug and know-it-all when the children play up!
