Go to dropshipland and look at their FAQ.

Dropshipping is like having your very own mail-order business. The main advantage being that you do not have to go to all the expense and trouble of purchasing a lot of stock in advance to obtain any discounts, neither do you require any storage space.

That's a very good explanation on benr123. I take it you are also a member of Dropshipland!

I always think of drop shipping as MLM but online! The dropshipper makes they're money when we sell their products! The more of us that do it, the better it is for them, but obviously there is more competition for us

The thing to remember is that if you do set up a dropshipping business you need to be prepared to promote your web-site all the time, as you will only make money if you do, especially with all the competition out there.

It is also good to note that not all the products offered by dropshippers are competitive in price in comparison to some other retailers, so it is best to research prices on other sites before chosing products to promote!

    Good luck!

I am not a member of any drop shipping organisation. Its a tough market to profit from. I wouldn't use any supplier that is easy to find on google or has a low barrier to entry. Too many people jumping in and destroying the value. I am always on the look out for good drop shippers but still to find one.

Saying that, I still would say the same if I did find a good drop shipper. All the people making money from it keep their suppliers close to their chest. If too many people know about one - it destroys the value.

Drop shipping is like affiliate marketing but more hassle.

I have just started a new business called aMillionJobsToDo.. which seems to be catching on. The idea is you can suggest any task you need completing for any fee you would like to pay for that service. The type of jobs I am getting are really varied and interesting and I hope it will take off in a really big way so I will be able to employ other people to hepl me soon.
