I guess we are all different, I love it that as soon as the kids have gone to school I start work and everything is here. I can make phone calls in my kitchen while I have a cup of tea and no one knows (unless they are reading this lol). Mind you I am a typical home-loving cancerian!

Congrats on the move first of all, hope it works out for you!

I agree that working from home can be very rewarding but sometimes motivation and being lonely can put a strain on it. I think it depends on the person

Default Working at home with a 10 month old baby

Can be challenging at times, I can only get on the phone to talk to prospects when he's asleep as he can be very noisy usually. I do most of my research on the internet when he's awake playing. I try hard to give him the attention he needs and he will always come first so I'm not guilty that I'm trying to earn a living at home. Much rather this then be back at work full time.

I like working late in the evening when he goes to sleep at 8pm.
I'm lucky my husband is also in the business so i've got lots of support.

I love meeting nice people who care, I believe in giving first before receiving.

I am very lucky as I work from home, but if I get fed up I can go to anyone of several business's I am involved in, all within a 10 minute drive.

As said one can become very isolated working at home.It definitly helps if you can get your self out for an hour or so in the day in order to stay in touch with reality.

I am buying a log cabin to use as an office in the summer,be nice to be out in the garden.

I know someone who did this and it worked a treat! Although his kids wanted to use it as their playhouse.

Hello. I too work from home and it is great. It does have its downsides: amusing looks from cold callers that knock at the door to find you dealing with a 3 year old in the hallway and it IS lonely at times - I can fully appreciate the shock of going to a shop or being in a busy high street after a week of solitude!
But the zero-commute time, no office politics, reasonable lunches and flexibility to work when you want are major plus points. I'd recommend it.

It can be tough working from home because you do lose touch with the real world out there and after all we are social animals. Many small businesses too need an office occasionaly to meet customers in a professional business environment.

Watch this space then or PM me as the offer will be limited and I'll put you on the short list. Rob

As much as I love working from home I do get terribly lonely and tend to work all hours for something to do so have become very insular. It doesn't help that the other half is nightshift at least 5 nights out of seven. I am infront of the pc so often my other half refers to me as loridotcom or do you want a coffee dot com as he says it is the best way to get my attention (cheeky beggar).
I have also recently started to resent the space the business uses up in the house but hiring a unit sounds like a perfect solution if there is one near (which I doubt).
Having had a wee gripe though I wouldn't /couldn't imagine going back to work now.
