Default Best thing I ever did

I moved out of my warehouse on Tuesday and am now working from home. It's bloody fantastic and running my business is fun again, it doesn't feel like a job - I am not worrying about my greedy landlord any more. Added to that I save an hour a day on travelling time so get loads more done.

If you are still dithering about working from home - just do it!

Thats great.

Sometimes I think that as Business owners we feel we ought to have big premises to show how big the company is, but more often than not it is better to work from home still if you had the space.

I work from home and love it, when I get a brain block I can pop off and do some housework etc and you can work in yoru pyjamas

I'm glad I had the premises to start off with as it gave me a physical presence but for an online business it doesn't matter where you are. I now rent a storage unit for my stock, £20 a week and no rates, electricity, water etc. I've now got a market stall for my local customers and I love being in the town centre - I am an avid people watcher!

working from home can be very lonely. I went to the pizza shop about an hour ago, its the first time I have been out the house in about a week. It was very weird.

What are these things they call "People"?

I agree.

Take the plunge if you possibly can. Make sure you're covered financially for the first few months though.

Good luck to anybody about to start on their own.

It's more people working from home which is leading to the new storage
depots which appear to be springing up.

On the business park near me they have just put a new unit up just for
storage, with anything from a 1m secure cube for £20 a month, up to
8m x 6m rooms for £150 a month.
They can even accept post and be used as a registered business address.
