I've only ever done local school fairs or church fairs etc. The cost of exhibiting puts me off a lot of places

I have found that some events organisers will put your leaflets on display or in goodie bags, they either charge you a flat rate or by volume, it certainly beats paying for a stall especially if you are like me just starting out!
