    Default MLM opportunities

Im hoping to hear from those of you who have experiences/opinions about MLM (Multi-Level-Marketing) businesses...

    Any negative or positive comments?

I recently signed up for one, and I am happy to be buying the products myself. However, I am naturally interested to see if this is something that will one day take over my 9-5 job so that I can work from home!

    Thanks! Seb

It seems to work for some people, like you I signed up to one and I use the products. They said you only need to do 10-15 hours a week - rubbish! The only ones who are successful at it do it full time and then some more, each to their own I say.

HI Like you both I signed up to one too. I am beginning to see the benefits and think it might well take over my 9-5 but in my own hours. Will be a hard slog to there though not a get rich quick scheme but does definitely have potential.

No such thing as a get rich quick scheme and yes they can be hard work..

But I think the rewards are there if you find the right one for yourself.

Some schemes are harder to promote than others, but I prefer the ones that provide a service rather than a physical product..IE Keeping stock in the garage..

I've headed towards Internet, work from home business.

Started with one which I thought I could promote on the net ( www.yuvme.co.uk ) but really it's a face to face, knocky door type biz...Not for me.

But now I've more chance to make higher earnings with a biz which soft launches on 1st Dec. ( www.winnersbets.com ) and also ( www.happi6winners.com ) which also starts same day...both will be purely Internet..sitty on bottom type job.

Better than the 12 hr nightshifts I had to do for a while in my life..

    Hi,

You may also consider affiliate marketing in it's simplest form, why join a scheme when you can refer to 100's of products? If you have a hobby, interest etc...then building a site that targets the information you know can prove very rewarding.

    Default MLM the Honest Truth

MLM is probably one of the most legitimate ways to own and run your own business available today. There are three key things you need to find in a company before considering joinging them as a distributor. If all three of these things aren't found in a company, long term success is very very very difficult. I have been in companies that offer a combination of the three, but it wasn't until I found all three in a single company that I found success I couldn't even have dreamed of.

    1. Product. You need to look for a company that has a product with broad demand. You want a company that has been around awhile and offers stability and experience. Your business will only be around as long as the company you're distributing for. Don't sell a product that you would not feel comfortable recommending to your family or close friends.

    2. Upline Suport. Your upline should provide tools, training, and support that could show a blind monkey step by step how to succeed. If you have never done MLM before you will need the one on one mentorship of a successful mentor who has succeeded in network marketing. If your upline charges for support and help, is never available, or doesn't take the time to make sure all your concerns are addressed move on. This took me a long time to find in a team in MLM. Find a team that has taken people with no MLM experience adn taken them to atleast six figure annual incomes, and you will probably be in the right place.

    3. Tools and Systems. In order to succeed in MLM you have to be able to retain your downline. You need duplicatable systems that are easy to understand and replicate. To succeed you need to be able to easily duplicate the process that produced you as a distributor many times over. Technology and training should be available to help you hold your downline accountable.

Whatever you decide, I with you the best. MLM is a great opportunity as long as it is with the right company and team.

I agree totally with all that l2pllc has said. The most important thing for me was the product I am selling - utilities - which we all need and belief in the company. Then it was the amazing training package that UW have along withthe superb team I am in who always are there to help and encourage me. After all if they help you their business as well as your own grows. That is unlike another MLM I joined a few years back which I have ditched who were only interested in growing their own teams and not helping each other.

I would stay clear of the door to door MLM's though unless you are happy to spend loads on catalogues, petrol and get wet and cold!

Good luck with your business .

    Default Hi Seb

I have been in a mlm for 5 years, and have struggled a lot. I think there are many good mlm opportunities out there, the problem is the way you market your business. If you bug family and friends or cold call or buy unqualified leads, you will struggle and fail...at least 95% do.
You need to find a system, that is easy to duplicate. A sales funnel, that pre sell your leads and qualify them as prospects.
That is how I work now, and my landingpage stats went fro 0,5% till 26,7% in a month!

Hope this will give you an idea on how to work your mlm.

    Best regards
    Ingebjørg

    Hi Oliver and welcome..

I agree about the learning curve of MLM, but it also helps if you have a decent product/service to promote as well.

The MLM industry is going through a change at the moment, mainly due to legislation in the UK. But it's a good change.

A lot of MLM depended more on recruiting others rather than on selling the product.

A few companies have still to change, were quick to change their commission plans and it actually works out better in my opinion.

One of the problems with chasing friends and family is that as you go through different business to find right one you end up with F&F dodging you..LOL

But as you say a lot fail and give up..

Think most expect to become millionaires overnight and thats mainly due to Hype.

    Hi there,

I agree with most of what's been said. It takes a lot of effort for the first year or so to really reap the benefits of a residual income. We're in the first few months with a company who are just about to launch in the UK in Jan 09. It's a great time to get involved - before the influx, and I think this is an important point - the timing!

    Good luck with your investigations.
