One of the reasons I came looking for fellow small business peeps and other workers from home
I cant wait till the holidays are over and the house is mine again to work without hubby or kids underfoot!![]()
I pop out to the gym or go for a swim every day. I don't really speak to anyone there either much but it gets me out!

I worked from home for several months when i first launched my company and i have to say i found it difficult! i have two young children (pre-school) and seperating work from home wasn't easy. Lucky for me I was able to move out into office accommodation quite quickly.
I am working at home, but sometimes i will feel lonely and have no friends expect my schoolfellow

Do you mean that smoky kind of fresh air?
I purposely moved out of Bristol centre, so that the home office would be surrounded by countryside and trees and the like in order to help get me out for a walk (OK, when the weather is OK)
It's crazy when you think of the difference on every level: emotional, physical, mental, social between being a home worker and working in an office
The fiance is actually planning a dissertation on the pros/cons of home working for her HR Masters, so I might well be back on here for some more of your perspectives when she reaches that point!

Yes, it's easy if I'm not careful to spend all day with my face in the computer and missing out on mealtimes and sleep in the night.
Making myself shut off the computer at a reasonable hour in the evenings definitely makes a big difference in helping me wind down and get off to sleep.

the school run saves me from sitting here all day, and I get a good natter with the mums on the playground while we wait for the children.
PLus, I'm really lucky to have become good friends with one of the mums and while our youngests play we enjoy a cuppa and a natter, I could she she saves me from complete isolation![]()
It's hard to stop thinking about the business through running it from home, even when I switch off in the evening there is always the temptation in the advert breaks just to sneak a peek at the emails and see if any sales have come through - I wonder if that will wear off, I've only had a proper online shop for 4 months!!
